What Fraud Made a Whistle-Blower $30 Million Richer?

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announced on Monday that it had approved a payment of between $30 million and $35 million to an unnamed individual who lives in a foreign country, for providing information that helped federal authorities “detect an ongoing fraud.” — from the NY Times. Two pieces of information censored in this news release: the name of the whistle-blower, and the fraud involved.  To protect the whistle-blower for their good deed, we won’t speculate his or her...

Toothpaste Manufacturers Put Plastic Microbeads in Toothpaste

A dental hygienist in Phoenix was puzzled when she noticed some of her patients’ teeth were riddled with little blue dots.  Those little dots turned out to be a plastic known as polyethylene. The plastic was getting caught between their gums and teeth, increasing the chance of gum disease.  Most of the patients were brushing with some form of Crest toothpaste.  Once the story broke out, Crest announced it will no longer mix the little plastic balls into its toothpaste....

Is Earth’s Atmosphere Collapsing?

Is Earth’s Atmosphere Collapsing?

Does it look like the sky will be falling soon? photo: Giorgio Galeotti

In 2008, NASA began monitoring the collapse of the thermosphere, a layer of thin gas high above Earth’s surface where the atmosphere meets space. “This is the biggest contraction of the thermosphere in at least 43 years,” says John Emmert of the Naval Research Lab, lead author of a paper announcing the finding in the June 19th 2010 issue of the Geophysical Research Letters (GRL). “It’s a Space Age record.” The collapse was huge, two to three times greater than...

Monsanto’s Roundup Kills Human Cells

Monsanto’s Roundup Kills Human Cells

Use Roundup as instructed, it contains an ingredient deadly to human cells

Monsanto’s Roundup weed killer has been found to contain an ingredient that suffocates human cells in a laboratory, according to news published in Scientific American. Polyethoxylated tallowamine, or POEA, is labeled as an “inert” ingredient, but studies prove it more deadly to human embryonic, placental, and umbilical cord cells than the active herbicide ingredient in Roundup itself. POEA’s lethality was discovered in Japan in the 1980s, when doctors examined patients who drank Roundup, either intentionally or accidentally, and determined...

Alien Scientists May Accidentally Destroy the Universe By Tampering with the ‘God particle’

Alien Scientists May Accidentally Destroy the Universe By Tampering with the ‘God particle’

Humans may not be able to build a doomsday particle accelerator just yet, but advanced aliens can.

Stephen Hawking has compiled a chilling new theory that states you and all of existence will be engulfed in a wave of destruction when the Higgs Boson, also known as the ‘God particle’, undergoes an unlucky energy transformation.  According to Hawking: “The Higgs potential has the worrisome feature that it might become metastable at energies above 100 [billion] gigaelectronvolts (GeV). … This could mean that the universe could undergo catastrophic vacuum decay, with a bubble of the true vacuum...

Amelia Earhart: Who was she really working for?

Amelia Earhart: Who was she really working for?

Writing about Amelia Earhart for a conspiracy theory website is just adding white noise to a sea of white noise. Everybody knows the story and the conspiracy theories surrounding her and her infinite flight that may or may not have ended in some sort of tragedy. One of the most popular theories is that she flew through a Bermuda Triangle like area and entered either a different time or dimensions. The theory most skeptics believe is that she simple ran...

The Devil went down to Georgia

The Devil went down to Georgia

When you think of the state of Georgia gorgeous southern plantations, Oranges, Scarlet O’Hara and maybe hurricanes are probably the first things that spring to mind. Stonehenge, however, is probably not something that pops into your mind when you think of Georgia but on a hilltop on the farm of Mildred and Wayne Mullenix in Elbert County, 90 miles east of Atlanta sits what is known as the ‘American Stonehenge’. Visible from Georgia Highway 77, it sits on the highest...

Bigfoot is real and he may be hiding out in your family tree

Bigfoot is real and he may be hiding out in your family tree

According to a press release issued by a company called DNA Diagnostics that details the work of a Texas veterinarian, “Researchers’ extensive DNA sequencing suggests that the legendary Sasquatch is a human relative that arose approximately 15,000 years ago.” The report comes from Melba S. Ketchum who somehow managed to obtain three “whole nuclear genomes from purported Sasquatch samples” and that “the genome sequencing shows that Sasquatch mtDNA is identical to modern Homo sapiens, but Sasquatch nuDNA is a novel,...
