The Devil went down to Georgia

Georgia Guidestones

The mysterious Georgia Guidestones, a.k.a. American Stonehenge.

When you think of the state of Georgia gorgeous southern plantations, Oranges, Scarlet O’Hara and maybe hurricanes are probably the first things that spring to mind. Stonehenge, however, is probably not something that pops into your mind when you think of Georgia but on a hilltop on the farm of Mildred and Wayne Mullenix in Elbert County, 90 miles east of Atlanta sits what is known as the ‘American Stonehenge’. Visible from Georgia Highway 77, it sits on the highest point in the county.

The edifice has four stones set in a ‘paddlewheel’ formation with one stone standing in the center and yet another lying on top. Around the four sides of the stone laying on top is carved four dead languages, one on each side. The languages are Sanskrit, Classical Greek, Babylonian Cuneiform and Egyptian Hieroglyphics.  On the other stones there is a different language on each side, English, Spanish, Swahili, Hindi, Hebrew, Arabic, Chinese and Russian. In each language is the same message or commandments:

  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
  2. Guide reproduction wisely — improving fitness and diversity.
  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
  4. Rule passion — faith — tradition — and all things with tempered reason.
  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
  7.  Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
  8.  Balance personal rights with social duties.
  9.  Prize truth — beauty — love — seeking harmony with the infinite.
  10.  Be not a cancer on the earth — Leave room for nature — Leave room for nature.

Georgia Guidestones

The first commandment is the most troubling because it means that 12 out of 13 people on the planet shouldn’t be. Only about half the population of India should be roaming the earth. The overall height of the structure is 19 feet and 3 inches and the total weight is 237, 746 pounds. A few feet to the structure lays a slab of granite that has been set level with the ground. On the left side of this slab it lists the sponsors as being “A small group of Americans who seek the Age of Reason”.

The structure was built in 1980 by Elberton Granite Finishing Company by who was actually behind the creation is unknown. What is known is that in 1979 a well-dressed man walked in the offices of the Elberton Granite Finishing Company and hired them to erect a monument to transmit a message to all of mankind. The man calling himself R. C. Christian admitted that he represented a group of men but to this day that group remains unidentified. It is highly speculated that the group was either the Freemasons or the Rosicrucian.

The next question after ‘who’ is ‘why’? Some believe that written on the stones are the Ten Commandments of the Antichrist or that the stones may be a product of a Luciferian secret society with ties to the New World Order. Another question is, why no Latin? Could that be a possible clue as to who commissioned the stones? And of the eight languages, why those? Is it only those who will survive the apocalypse? What happens to the French and the Italians? What of the Japanese or “ze Germans”?
